Henna powder is dried from the en and powdered leaves of the henna bush. This grows primarily in India, but also in Egypt and Iran. Henna powder has a long tradition in the field of coloring and hair care.
Mix the powder with lemon juice or amla powder (3:1 ratio) and gradually add warm water until the mixture has the consistency of yogurt. Cover and let rest for 4-8 hours. Then apply to clean, dry hair from root to tip and wait 3-5 hours (depending on the desired color intensity) before washing out.
